The Mayor's Cup tournament starts Friday, December 13th, and I wanted to share some quick reminders.
First off, thank you to all the programs for your participation none of this would be possible without you.
Tournament Reminders:
· Master Schedule and Brackets: These are live documents and will be updated continuously. Please have coaches and parents check them regularly. Any changes will be highlighted, and these can be shared.
· Rules and Roster Issues: Please ensure all coaches review the tournament rules. If there are any concerns or roster issues, notify BP&R staff before the start of the game. We will have staff at each rink throughout the city.
· Scorekeepers: Each program should provide a scorekeeper at their home rinks.
· Board Assistance for Mite Games: Help with boards for mite games is greatly appreciated.
· Referee and Scorekeeper Pay: I will be sending out pay scales for referees and scorekeepers. Please have the necessary amounts available each night.
· Mayor's Cup Hats: These will be distributed to team coaches at check-in before their first game.
· Tournament Format: The U8 Girls and Mite A levels will be single elimination, while all other levels Mite AA through Bantam AAA and U10 Girls through U14 Girls will be double elimination.
